Through the Tunnel

1.Setting
The story is set in an unspecified foreign country, possibly South Africa. On a beach and under water where the young boy always goes to the tunnel.

2.Plot summary
Jerry, a young English boy, and his mother are vacationing at a beach they have come to many times in past years. The mother, who is a widow, is "determined to be neither possessive nor lacking in devotion," and Jerry, in turn, acts from an "unfailing impulse of contrition—a sort of chivalry."On the second morning, however, Jerry lets it slip that he would like to explore a "wild and rocky bay" he has glimpsed from the path. He sees some big boys enjoing their swim at the shore. They were diving in and staying under water for a long time, it came out that they were going through some sort of tunnel under water. Jerry also wanted to go through the tunnel but it took him almost his whole vacation time to figure out where the tunnel was. And again he could not stay under water for a very long time. He started training himself to stay under water for a long time. this ended up in him bleeding badly, nose bleed, but he didn't give up on his training. On their second last vacation day, desperate and also afraid, he went down into the water to find and go through the tunnel, fortunately he found the tunnel. Going through the tunnel was the hardest part, it almost took his life as at some point he started bleeding and his head started to get sore. Fortunately at the end of the day, he went through the tunnel and it was all good for him.

  1. Your work was good so I will rate you 6 because, I noticed some punctuation which were placed wrongly, and a spelling error "enjoing". For the main character you had less than 10 sentences.
